Orders for branded merchandise and apparel (“swag”) are priced based on:

  • Product cost
  • Decoration method
  • Shipping specifications

Pricing is set by our vendors and suppliers, though we often provide discounts on listed prices. You can browse more than one million products in our master catalog or request a quote by emailing steve@smichael.com.

Each invoice generally includes:

  • Unit cost per item
  • Setup fee
  • Shipping charges
  • Sales tax
  • Any applicable additional fees

Consulting & Professional Services

1. Retainer

Best for ongoing needs, long-term projects (12+ months), or situations with flexible scope/timelines.

  • Clients pay a negotiated, value-based monthly fee to secure my time and availability.
  • I only accept a few retainers at a time; retainer clients receive priority and my highest availability.
  • Unused time expires at month-end and does not roll forward.
  • Hard costs and travel fees are billed separately.

2. Project Fee

Ideal for one-time projects with defined scope and timeline (e.g., brand identity, a simple website).

  • An estimated fee range (upper and lower boundary) is provided at the outset.
  • A 50% deposit is due before work begins.
  • The balance is due upon completion or on a negotiated payment schedule.

3. Hourly ($250/hr)

Available to current and former clients who need ad-hoc support.

  • Billed in 30-minute increments (0.5, 1.0, etc.)
  • 1-hour monthly minimum when hourly work is performed
  • Typically scheduled 1–3 weeks in advance

4. Rush ($375/hr)

For urgent tasks that cannot wait.

  • Must be discussed in advance and scheduled case by case
  • Typically completed within a week or less
  • Billed in 1-hour increments (1.0, 2.0, etc.)
  • 2-hour minimum per request
